There’s one thing that many cat owners don’t talk about. Maybe it’s because they’re embarrassed, afraid that people in their lives will think less of them, or think they’re weird. It’s nothing to be ashamed of most cat owners do it.

I’ve had some great conversations with all my cats. As far as I can tell, they don’t judge me for my life choices and may even enjoy chilling on the couch with me to watch Netflix on a Saturday night.
A few days ago, Scout told me all about her day. It began with a simple question. I asked her how she was doing and she meowed her response. I asked her if she was hungry and she nodded and let out a little meow like she said. “I could eat.”
My cat Lucky used to meow and lead me to the bathroom when he wanted to drink from the bathroom faucet. He’d look back a few times to ensure I followed him. I’d turn on the faucet, pat the counter, and he’d climb up. He’d meow his thanks and I’d leave him to it.
