Albert Einstein said, “If a man aspired towards a righteous life, his first act of abstinence is from injury to animals.”

Einstein loved animals that seemed abundantly clear. He favored a tabby cat named Tiger. Einstein was so attuned to the cat’s moods that he knew the cat often got depressed on rainy days.

Einstein would watch and communicate with Tiger as he meditated and pondered his work. Some might say that Tiger helped Einstein formulate his most influential and groundbreaking theories.

Einstein saw the value of leaning on our feline friends in moody or dark times as he said, “There are two means of refuge from the misery of life: music and cats.”

When it came to being a cat fancier — a famous one at that — he was not alone. Many artists, writers, and scientists found love and comfort from a feline friend.

When Art Imitates Life

Currently, the most famous cat fancier and cat mom extraordinaire has to be Taylor Swift. You don’t ask if you can bring your cat to your Time Person of the Year photoshoot unless you are a huge cat lover.
