The term, crazy cat lady, has long been used to describe educated single ladies of a certain age with an affinity for cats. Often meant as an insult to describe spinsters who they perceive to be unable to find male companionship and must rely on the company of cats as a salve for their inevitable loneliness.
The ladies might be sitting on their sofa with a pile of books nearby and a lap full of cats. To us cat ladies, it’s not an insult. It’s a lifestyle.

So now being a cat lady doesn’t seem that bad. It isn’t, trust me.
